DRIED BEEF CHEESE BALL

2 8 oz packages cream cheese
6 oz dried beef
3 scallions
1 cup chopped pecans
6 oz dried beef
3 scallions
1 cup chopped pecans
Bring cream cheese to room temperature. Chop dried beef and scallions. Cream the cheese until smooth and add beef and scallions. Mix thoroughly and chill for at least one hour or until cheese can be rolled into a ball. Roll in chopped pecans and serve with various crackers or breads.
This makes a good appetizer for a party when you want your dinner guests to keep busy while you are finishing putting the late touches on the meal.
